September Favourites

September saw the last of the sunshine, Rosie’s 3rd birthday and the highly anticipated John Lewis Virtual Beauty weekend (which I will cover fully in an upcoming post). I travelled down South to do the wedding makeup of a dear friend and stocked up on a couple of products to add to my kit. See what I have been loving in September below.

Pixi DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches

These patches are an absolute must if you suffer with tired, allergy prone eyes. Designed to instantly depuff, these hydrogel eye patches contain Caffeine to banish dark circles, Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise and Cucumber to soothe. They are some of the best on the market and because you get 30 in a pack, you don’t have to save them for a special occasion.

Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder – Fair 1.

Designed as a perfecting skin tint, this light reflective formula leaves the skin radiant without looking greasy. I have been using this most days, adding a bit more concealer or my Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick to build up the coverage where I need it. I would highly recommend it as a tinted moisturiser or BB alternative.

Bloom and Blossom Pillow Spray – The Enormous Crocodile

Since birth Rosie has been a terrible sleeper and it is only now that we are in to the toddler years that it is starting to get better. As part of her routine we have been spraying this on to her pillow and it seems to be working. It is gently fragranced with mandarin and lavender, not overpowering and perfectly suited to little ones. I highly, highly recommend.

Aurelia Overnight Recovery Mask

I recently added a couple of new products in to my skincare routine and suffered a mild reaction, I was left with dry, scaly, taught skin that felt sore. With a scent not too disimilar to Sudocrem, this thick, balmy mask contains Oats and Meadowsweet in order to soothe the skin, vital if you have redness or irritation. Protida complex aids the skins natural immunity, reduces inflammation and encourages repair – within a couple of uses my skin was noticeably less red and scaly. It isn’t a mask I would use regularly, rather saving it for when my skin is crying out for help.

Clinique Quickliner for Eyes – Smokey Brown.

One of my all time favourite eyeliners – it really is a close call between this one and the Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Eyeliner in Scotch. Incredibly creamy and long-lasting, this eyeliner is the perfect cool toned brown that suits every skin tone and is great for days where you don’t want a heavy black eyeliner. I recently repurchased and I have worn it consistently since.

Beeswax and Bubbles Warm Gingerbread candle.

September and October are prime Autumnal months and once we have passed Rosie’s birthday at the start of September, the candles come out. I haven’t purchased any new ones *yet* but I have been reaching for my stash of Beeswax and Bubbles candles that I picked up at a local market last year. My current favourite is the Warm Gingerbread.

And that concludes another month. Have you tried any of these? What have you been loving lately?

    Such a good little roundup!

Since your visit I have bought myself some of those Pixi patches (via Vinted, of course) and I have wanted to try the Tilbury Light Wonder for so long as I always hear such good things. I’ve pretty much given up all base make up but it is nice to have a reliable one for when you need it. Also from your beauty bag I have also got the Mercier concealer because this worked a treat (same Vinted order, result!).

The candle season is well and truly upon us, I have been very much enjoying Harper’s Sugar & Cinnamon doughnut candle. It throws off so much scent even when not lit too which is an added bonus.
