The best kind of Pick and Mix? Feel Unique’s £3.95

I have previously written about Feel Unique’s latest Beauty Box where you pick 5 deluxe travel size products for £13.95 but until recently I completely missed their other offer, where you pick 5 sample sized products and just pay the delivery charge of £3.95. The best bit? The £3.95 is redeemable against further purchases within 2 months of your order.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

Anything repairing I am all over, especially in the winter time when my exczema flairs up and central heating wreaks havoc with my skin. The Ultra Repair Cream is designed for these kind of skin complaints and soothes itchy, tired, flaky skin including ailments caused by exczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.

The formula is shea butter based which means the cream has a rich texture that glides over skin. Oatmeal calms and relives itchiness. Ceramides draw moisture in to the skin and strengthen the moisture barrier, locking out irritants. I used this after the radiance pads and it worked well to lessen the tingle from the glycolactic acid and isn’t too heavy to wear under makeup

Nars Climax Mascara

With another raunchy name, Climax is the bestselling mascara from Nars. Promising to deliver dramatic volume, the lash moisture complex conditions and ensures your lashes stay at optimal health without being weighed down. The brush is a chunky, traditional bristle brush that doesn’t hold on to any clumps and the formula itself is ultra black and smudge proof. I have used this for the last couple of days and it holds curl and lift throughout the day, I did have some slight smudging which is quite normal for me at the moment – I think wearing a facemask all day at work is the issue as it doesn’t happen on my days off.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer 40ml.

One of the most iconic deep conditioning treatments on the market, a bottle is sold every single minute. Rather than being a leave in conditioner that often weighs down the hair, the Elasticizer is a pre shampoo treatment which you wash out, washing any residue away too. I have used the Elasticizer quite a few times over the years and Philip Kingsley is one of my favourite premium hair care brands so I grabbed this sachet to pop in my travel toiletry bag for when I am at my parents over Christmas.

First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads x10.

Im haven’t had the best prior experience with glycol lactic acid based products, an unfortunate reaction to the REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask a few years ago has left me hesitant to try any more. I saw the sample pack of the FAB pads and after reading the reviews I decided to give them a go. They are dual sided pads that have been presoaked in a blend of glycolic and lactic acids, aloe vera and cucumber extract. After using there was a slight tingle but nothing unbearable and it dulled once I had applied the FAB Ultra Repair cream. My skin is quite sensitive/reactive so I would use these as a sporadic treatment weekly rather than the daily that they advise.

Cerave Smoothing Cleanser.

Formulated with 0.5% Salicylic acid to help clean out pores, remove dead skin cells and smooth the surface of the skin. As part of the Cerave line, the smoothing cleanser is packed full of Cermaides to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier – this means that irritants are kept out and water is kept in. The cleanser itself isn’t stripping, foams slightly and is gentle enough to be used every day. I can highly recommend it’s accompanying Smoothing Cream for use on any rough skin or Keratosis Pilaris on the backs of arms and thighs.

Have you tried the Pick and Mix? If you prefer a slightly more luxuriously sized mini then I would highly recommend the Beauty Box which I reviewed here. I also have a referral code (aff)  for Look Fantastic which gets you £10 off a £30 order, either use my code SOPHIE-R1DBH  or click through here.

Now this is such a good idea for testing little things out without having to shell out a fortune.

A mini mascara is always a win, these really give you an understanding of if it delivers without the price tag. A very good find on your part!
